something that can be done to counteract the drug or is it better to sleep

I am writing a thesis on mandatory random drug testing for all students in
high schools and middle schools. Could you kindly give me your opinion on
this matter? Also I wanted to find out if any of our local schools ever
considered implementing such a program, would you know where I could begin
my research? Should I start with the school committee or the city Mayor?
Your question is one that will surely be debated for a long time. Hopefully your thesis will give people an opportunity to really think about the benefits or consequences of such a program. We do not have any information on the subject however, I would start with the Department of Education to see if any communities are drug testing. Good Luck and keep us posted on your research.

I am a senior and have participated in D.A.R.E. for several years
including as camp counselor during the summer, and as President of our
S.A.D.D. club and had a key role in the Mock Accident put on for our
school. I am wondering whether D.A.R.E. offers college scholarships to
seniors.
D.A.R.E. America has a scholarship program with their Youth Advisory Board members. To learn more about the Board, visit www.dare.com
9. Age 11 from Braintree, MA asks: Can you tell me what are the eight ways to say no.
In lesson five of the 5th-6th Grade D.A.R.E. Curriculum, students learn that there are eight effective ways to say no in response to different kinds of peer pressure to use drugs. They are: 1. Saying "No Thanks." 2.Giving a reason or excuse. 3. Repeated refusal, or saying no as many times as necessary. 4. Walking away. 5. Changing the subject. 6. Avoid the situation. 7. The Cold shoulder. 8. Strength in numbers.
10. Age 48 from Mineola, TX asks: School will be out soon. Will there be any opportunity to do a D.A.R.E. program this summer.
There are a number of D.A.R.E. activities conducted by states or local communities over the summer however, you should contact TX directly for specifics. I recommend visiting www.dare.com. You will find a link to Texas by clicking on Hometown USA, which will open a map of the United States. Click on Texas and you will be able to get a local contact.

12. Age 21 from Boston asks: I'm doing a paper on DARE in MA and want to know how many communities teach DARE?
At the end of FY02, about 600 certified DARE police officers delivered the DARE curriculum to over 240,000 children in 328 Massachusetts communities.
13. Age 57 from Webster, MA asks: Is DARE taught in Webster?
The DARE curriculum is not used in the Webster schools. For more information, we suggest you call your local police or school officials.
14. Age 15 from Boston asks: Where did Ecstasy come from?
MDMA was first synthesized and patented in 1914 by the German drug company called Merck. Scientists thought that this drug could be used as an appetite suppressant. In the 1970s, MDMA was given to psychotherapy patients because it helped them open up and talk about their feelings. This practice was stopped in 1986 when animal studies showed that Ecstasy caused brain damage.

The key differences are:
Content is research and principle based;

16. Age 13 from Hampton NH asks: Where did tobacco come from?
Christopher Columbus and his crewman on their voyage to the "New World" were the first Europeans to see tobacco smoking. The tobacco plant is called Nicotiana tabacum and is named after an early importer named Jean Nicot. A water/nicotine mixture has been used as an insecticide since 1746. In 1828, nicotine was isolated from the leaves of the tobacco plant.
