D.A.R.E. Massachusetts supports communities statewide with the funds raised from the sale of your vehicle. Training D.A.R.E. officers, providing student workbooks and enhancing programs are our top priorities. Auction-quality vehicles (late-model, running and in good condition) generate significantly more funds than salvaged or recycled car donations. The program costs are kept as low as possible, and donated vehicles are sold through a national network of diverse venues to optimize revenues for our D.A.R.E. programs in Massachusetts.

D.A.R.E. Massachusetts is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. If you itemize deductions on your income tax return, it may be possible to claim a deduction for donating your car. In general, donors who itemize their taxes may deduct the fair market value of any donated vehicle up to $499. If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you may deduct the full selling price. You will receive the appropriate receipt from D.A.R.E. Massachusetts for your car donation.
